The NM-LTAP Road Scholar Program is designed to provide transportation professionals with training that not only provides context to the landscape of transportation work but also provides specific skills relevant to newer transportation professionals. Road Scholar Level 1 includes courses that give participants a well-rounded understanding of transportation work, including how to read construction plans for transportation projects, calculations for realistic transportation scenarios, and an introduction to free WebGIS mapping. After completing this program, students will have a working understanding of introductory transportation concepts that will enhance their work. Students will also have a better understanding of how transportation projects are carried out and their responsibilities within them. This program is ideal for new hires or as a starting point for employee training.
